Northwest Florida
Northwest Florida is the Florida Panhandle which has long been a destination for people seeking a vacation spot that is fun as well as affordable. The white sandy beaches and the emerald waters of the Panhandle are as beautiful as any others in Florida. However, the climate of Northwest Florida, the culture and the history of the Panhandle is closely connected with the Deep South. Consequently visitors to the Panhandle often find themselves treated to some good old fashioned Southern hospitality, with an atmosphere as relaxed and as easy-going as any in the South. As the Florida saying goes, “The further north you go, the further south you get.”
Northwest FLorida includes Apalachicola, Destin, Fort Walton Beach, Panama City Beach, Pensacola, Tallahassee, and South Walton. While the beaches are the top draw for most who come to the Panhandle, dozens of other attractions - including water parks, zoos, marine parks, golf courses, museums, aquariums, go-cart racing and Indian burial mounds – ensure that, even in the unlikely event that you tire of the beach, there is always plenty to do.
